Still, I’ve always had the disquieting sense of Seinfeld somehow always Getting Away With Something when he pulls off this suave, impeccably creased act. CNN —It feels weird to begin a complimentary piece about Anne Hathaway by saying I didn’t especially enjoy her latest movie, but here goes. Yet, as she recently explained to the New York Times, she’s spent far too much of her life trying to make other people happy. Even now, a Google search for “hate Anne Hathaway” produces more than five million hits. The movie is set years after that betrayal, and Solène, like Hathaway, has outgrown her habit of people pleasing. Hathaway is so luminously beautiful in “The Idea of You” that, for me at least, it undermines the entire film.

When asked why they would pick the bear, women all give some iteration of the same answer: With a bear, they know what the dangers are. A lot of detractors also seem to be misunderstanding the definition of a hypothetical question. Atlanta CNN —Vladimir Kara-Murza, a prominent Russian human rights advocate and Kremlin critic, has won the Pulitzer Prize for commentary written from his prison cell. Kara-Murza is serving a 25-year jail term for publicly criticizing Moscow’s war in Ukraine. The sentence had been widely condemned by the international community as draconian and politically motivated. In his April 2022 interview with CNN, the political dissident condemned Putin’s regime for targeting critics. Bernard Hill, a British actor who incarnated a humble style of masculine leadership in three hugely successful Hollywood movies, “Titanic” and two films in the “Lord of the Rings” franchise, died on Sunday.
